About the Event

The Power of the Purse is a one-of-a-kind event in the Vail Valley. This brunch, auction, and purse-shopping event is the perfect social outing, featuring items from local vendors and a wide assortment of like-new purses, including vintage and designer handbags, wallets, and backpacks at deeply discounted prices. Live auctions for the best of the best and a raffle for a variety of amazing gifts.  You will also have a chance to purchase raffle tickets (we have TONS of great items – not just purses.)

2024 September date to be announced – 10:30am – 1pm at Edwards Interfaith Chapel.

Participants will be impacting and bringing change to young women in Perú, many of whom are victims of human trafficking, abuse, and abandonment. 100% of donations, tickets, and sales benefit girls in Perú by providing education and empowerment programs through Corazón de Esperanza.

Donate or Collect Purses

Bring your gently used purses, backpacks, and wallets to one of our collection sites, or ship them to Corazon de Esperanza.  If you have a donation, please drop it off at one of the locations or email info@cdehope.org for more information.  If you would like to be a collection site, please let us know!  Your donations help make the event a great success and provide education to girls in Perú.

Donated new and used purses, backpacks, and wallets will be collected through August 2024 and can be dropped off at our office in Gypsum, Colorado.

Through your sponsorship, you also give youth and adults from our community the opportunity to be a part of changing lives. Power of the Purse attracts participants from around the valley and donors from around the state, allowing local involvement and future opportunities to volunteer globally.
